Master Bee Farmer Award 2024

Our Master presented the Master Bee Farmer award 2024 to Ian Wallace at the glittering ceremony at Mansion House on March 11th. More than 20 livery companies took part this year.

Ian Wallace – our winner – is a third-generation bee farmer who runs Quince Honey Farm, in South Molton, Devon. Ian has overseen the development of Quince both as a bee farm and as a major tourism attraction which has received numerous awards for tourism and the work done to educate the public about bees and pollinators.

Quince is also one of the largest bee farms in England running over 1500 hives. Ian is well respected by his peers for the production of delicious honey and innovative wax products. His willingness to share his commercial and practical experience has assisted other bee farmers and the industry greatly.

Ian’s father Paddy was one of the first winners of the Masters’ Award back in 2016.
